Going Beyond the Intellect to Experience Your Truth

Most of us have been taught to be detached.  We have been told to avoid attachment to the fruits of action. But who among us can actually do this? There is one thing to talk about a concept and another thing altogether to practice it.  Unfortunately, like most scripture, the Gita has been mostly taught and discussed intellectually.  But in the realm of ideas, one can only go so far.

We do not meet to intellectualize about the Gita. Nor is our intent to philosophize and debate intellectual constructs. Very little has ever been achieved through such dialogue.

Throughout history, many scholars and gurus have filled people’s minds with countless theories but, in the end, ideas have remained ideas.

We can exchange and debate ideas, but real change does not occur through this medium.

Real change occurs when you experience a truth for yourself.  When you train your mind to go beyond ideologies and open yourself to the reality of what is, such a practice of uninhibited awareness helps bring forth insights and shifts that make a lasting impact.

Gita Walk is about empowering you to access the authority of your own soul.  At Gita Walk there is no one to tell you what is right or wrong.  Gita Walk is about learning to listen, trust and follow the truth of your own being.

By practicing the ETO  Awareness Technique you will make the Bhagavad Gita a source of personal revelation and inspiration as you explore its relevance to the challenges you face every day on the Kurukshetra (battlefield) of your life.

Come with an Open Mind Ready to Learn…

Though Gita Walk takes place in a group setting, we recognize and respect that you are on a deeply personal and individual journey, and we encourage you to be creatively resourceful in your quest to seek practical applications to the challenges you face.

Our process does not seek a consensus of ideas.

What is most important is to evaluate what you think, what you feel and what you know to be true for you at this moment in time.

It is natural and healthy for us all to have different views and insights in this exploration within ourselves. As such, you are not required to agree to anything other than the intentions we have described herein.

We invite you to come in with a healthy mindset and make the choice to learn as much as you can, and to ignore what you disagree with.

We expect all participants to help create an environment in which differences of opinion are accepted.

From our perspective, a diversity of ideas is what makes communication both beautiful and enriching.

A closed mind is the door to a narrow and empty life. An open mind is committed to continual development and growth.

If you have such an open mind, participating in the Gita Walk may be an appropriate step for you to take along your life journey.
